About us – Religious Education and Faith Formation
Our Religious Education program includes grades Kindergarten through Eighth. We use the Blest Are We Faith & Word Series. These textbooks cover the concepts of the Catholic Conference of Kentucky Religious Education Guidelines that are the basics that must be taught in each particular grade. There are planned projects and activities offered during the year. First Reconciliation and First Communion are received in the second grade. Confirmation is administered in the seventh and eighth grades (every other year). It is a two year program. We also have a Vacation Bible School every summer.
Faith Formation for Adults is offered at various times throughout the year and future programs will be announced in the Church bulletin and on this web site. All are welcome.
Our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) program is usually offered from September through Easter. This program is for any adult who is interested in becoming a member of the Catholic Faith, or for those who have been away from the Church and are in need of renewal of their faith. We also offer a RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children) program for children who are in grades 2-8 and have not had previous religious instruction.
