Subject: Project Rachel Training and Awareness

Please share this information with your prayer groups, friends and family.  This is a wonderful ministry that everyone should be aware of and be educated on.  God Bless-Peggy

“It’s normal to grieve a pregnancy loss, including the loss of a child by abortion. It can form a hole in one’s heart, a hole so deep that sometimes it seems nothing can fill the emptiness. You are not alone.”    And then… Forgiveness, Hope, and Healing…. all found on Project Rachel’s homepage at www.HopeAfterAbortion.com

It’s vital that we all know about this Catholic Ministry that is available to help women heal from an abortion experience.   Please plan to come to the Mass on Tuesday October 17th at the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption in Covington at 6:30 pm.  Bishop Foys is requesting all Catholic faithful to attend. This Mass will be a prayerful beginning to the Project Rachel training that will be happening in our Diocese on Wednesday and Thursday next week.

There will be an opportunity for Reconciliation prior to the Mass beginning starting at 6 pm.   And immediately following the Mass there will be a reception in the Covington Latin School Forum.  The reception will include snacks, refreshments and a very brief presentation from the USCCB (US Conference of Catholic Bishops) leaders of this ministry.  The evening will end by 8:30 pm.  It has been two years in the making to get these USCCB leaders to our diocese to do this the training –  your show of support is needed and appreciated!

If anyone is interested in learning more about Project Rachel and taking part in the training sessions next week – please contact  Peggy at ppiccola@covdio.org or 392-1500, x1546.

Please share this message!

New updates:

The St. Patrick Parish Pro-Life Committee would like to invite you to participate in our 18th annual “Walk for Life” Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 900 AM.  Guests are invited to assemble in the St. Patrick School gymnasium where you will be treated to live music, pastries and our guest speaker Julie Kuebler will share her story of spiritual recovery following an abortion.  Julie’s story delivers a powerful message and falls in line with the Catholic Church’s program, Project Rachael, one of many programs dedicated to giving women and families hope after an abortion.  A silent, prayerful walk through downtown will commence following the ceremony and will conclude in the gymnasium with more pastries and drinks.  Volunteers will be located in the gym to collect donations and signatures to fund a full page ad placed in the Ledger Independent newspaper.  The suggested donation towards the ad campaign is $2 for a single person and $5 per family.  If $2 is not possible we will gladly accept $1.  Please consider donating to the ad to bring awareness to the cause of protecting life from the moment of conception until natural death.  Those interested in learning more and becoming more involved in the Pro-Life movement should contact their Parish Office or reach out to their parish Pro-Life Coordinator.  St. Patrick School is located at 318 Limestone Street, Maysville, KY 41056.

“REJOICE ALWAYS, PRAY WITHOUT CEASING” – Thessalonians 5:16-18

Join us on  Friday evening from 7-8pm in front of Planned Parenthood, 2314 Auburn Avenue, 45219, to pray for and end to abortion and to begin to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance in our 40 Days for Life efforts (Fall campaign – Wednesday, September 27 – Sunday, November 5).

This fall campaign will mark ten years of Cincinnati’s involvement in 40 Days for Life.  We are very grateful to the church coordinators who have been with us from the beginning and those who have joined us more recently.  They have been so faithful in promoting the campaigns and keeping prayer for the unborn and their families before the eyes of their congregations and we hope they will continue to do so this fall.

We also can’t say enough to the individuals who respond to the parish coordinators call or who come on their own to fill the prayer hours throughout the campaign and sacrifice time and convenience to stand in peaceful public witness for Life.

Come this Friday evening and make it the first day of your ongoing prayer for the success of the Fall 40 Days for Life campaign, especially for many more church leaders to step forward and encourage their fellow congregants to swell our numbers on the sidewalk this fall.

Attached is a flyer which you can put up at your churches and give out to family and friends as a reminder of upcoming prayer vigils as well as the general 40 Days for Life flyer.

Please contact me if you want to hear more about getting your church involved in the campaign.

See you Friday!  Parking available on side streets, especially Wellington Place (across from Planned Parenthood).

God bless,
